This Friday, March 13, we will be hosting a Movie Sushi Night! We will be serving sushi and other food during the night as well! Come to 122 Wheeler this Friday night to enjoy the exhilirating movie in the company of your fellow HKSA members and Officers!
As you all know, our semi-annual Karaoke Contest will be held on Friday, April 3, 2009. On the night, we will be passing out booklets to each and every person in the audience. This semester, we will be providing a Messenger service, where you have the opportunity to leave a message in our booklet! The Messenger service is great for many things, for example:
* If your friend is a contestant and you want to give them a confidence boost, leave a message in our booklet!
* If you are a contestant and want to thank your friends for coming, leave a message in our booklet!
* If you are a graduate and want to tell your friends in HKSA, leave a message in our booklet!
* If you would like to use this opportunity to send a special someone some love, leave a message in our booklet!
These are just a few of the many things you can do with our Messenger service! Best of all, your message will not only be in the booklet, but on the Powerpoint that we will show that night, as well as the HKSA website!
We also have beautiful message templates for you to choose the one that best suits your message! For a small fee, we can also design the message box for you, add any photos you want us to add in the message box, and make it EXTRA special! : )

We would like to kindly remind you of our semi-annual Karaoke Contest (K-con)! It is one of the highlights for HKSA! Our K-Con is scheduled for Friday April 3, 2009, the Friday right after Spring Break.
If you think you are up for the challenge to win our fabulous prizes at K-con, come to our tables and sign up! But you’ve gotta be fast - we limit the number of contestants to 16 people only! You MUST pay the contestant sign-up fee to secure your slot as one of the competing 16 singers! Prices are as follows:
Members:
Single - $20 // Group - $25
Non-members:
Single - $25 // Group - $30
For smoother processing, we advise all contestants to find your own KTVs, burn it on a VCD (in AVI/MPG format) and bring it to us. If contestants are unable to find the KTVs for their songs, we will be able to provide the service of finding and editing the KTVs for them. We will be charging $5 PER SONG.
The LAST day to change songs without a late fee is WEDNESDAY MARCH 18. A late fee of $5 will apply if you choose to change any songs past the above date, or sign up to be a contestant past the above date.

It’s one week closer to HKSA 23rd Semi-Annual Karaoke Contest (which will be held on Oct 24th), and it’s the time for sign-ups now! Drop by our tabling hours (11AM-2PM) to secure a slot in our limited 16 contestant openings! Please remember to bring your sign-up fee when you come as to facilitate the procedure:
Members:
Single - $20 / Pair - $25
Non-members:

Contestants will have to look for their own KTVs, but in the case where the contestant is unable to find it and makes a request for HKSA to do so, we will be charging a $5 fee per song. Please hand us a VCD copy of your KTV (in mpg/avi format) no later than October 13th. Also, the last day to change a song without a fee is October 10th.

To all the gamblers, “gamers,” singers, and unemployed hopefuls,
Hands itching? Longing to see your loyal “friends?” Can’t wait to slam that last tile onto the table and wipe those cocky smiles off your opponents’ faces?! HKSA is hosting Game Night this Friday! As one of our more popular events, what better chance is there to meet new friends that have the same hobbies as you than at Game Night? We’ll be hosting a MahJong competition along with card games and Monopoly, just to name a few.
Fee: $5 for MJ competition, free for event
If you’re interested in the MJ competition, please sign up and turn in your
entry fee at our table as soon as possible, for it’ll be first come first serve for the 12 slots! Those who do not sign up will not be guaranteed a seat unless we have space for more competition! We’ll have $80 in cash
