Finally! After a boring summer, I’m back to the times when HKSA meets every week.
Soooo first up was orientation. To be honest I was kind of stressed out about that because 1) it’s my first fall orientation! (we all know how many people got into Berkeley during the fall and so we need to woo them into HKSA. First impression matters) and 2) we were kind of slacking off and there were a little bit of hassle here and there during the preparation times. But anyways after all the drama we had our whole thing properly planned out.
For those of you who didn’t go to our orientation (which is a serious crime by the way), I’ll just do a quick recap for you. Basically we just had TV-shows-themed skits introducing our officers, Berkeley and the bay area, as well as our event. The response wasn’t as enthusiastic as I expected though. Maybe our jokes were too low…?
And for those of you who did go to our orientation and felt a little disappointed, I assure you our other events will be a lot more fun. Of course, being an officer I’m obligated to be commercial here, but speaking from personal experience, I do feel that HKSA is a fun social club that worths joining. Come to our WTH (Welcome to HKSA) tomorrow night, and I’m sure you will have TONS of fun. I know a lot of us are already swamped with school. Heck I even have pop quizzes and like 10 problem sets due already, and it’s just the first week of class. But it’s a long weekend this week, and you can certainly squeeze out some time to have fun and meet new friends right?
So hopefully I’ll see you (again) on Friday! For now, let me just get back to the annoying mastering physics…

This semster’s election will be held this Friday May 1st, 2009 in 123 Wheeler @ 6:00PM! We hope that YOU will come to help decide this coming Fall 2009 semster’s President and Vice President!
This occasion is not only an election, but also an end-of-semester gathering for all of us to meet up and just mingle before we work our buttocks off for our finals. We have prepared a rich variety of plates (such as pot stickers, rice and noodles) ready to serve you and make sure you are satisfied!
We are also commencing a new campaign in HKSA called Test Bank. We are initiating a campaign to gather and compile a database of past midterm/final papers, ready for YOU, our dear members, to use! We would like to ask all of you to bring past midterm papers and final papers to the Election as well, so we can scan them in and commence forming our database of papers. It is ultimately for your benefit! Please do bring your past papers! Scanning will only take a couple of seconds! You’ll be back mingling and and enjoying the event in no time!

Once again, thank you very much for participating in Kcon! I am looking forward to seeing you guys in our future events!
